Closed Circuit Television System (CCTV)

CCTV collects information from internal and external cameras, recording video and sound in a certain area. The system is composed of a camera, lens, monitor and recorder. The whole recording process is initiated by the camera which responses to a certain factor : a motion, a risk of damage etc. In case of the extremely demanding work environment, Nextnet offers a vandal-resistant casing, which protects camera against the harmful effects of the environment or against a physical damage.

The type of implemented lens determines a quality of the image. Lenses with an IR illumination function, common known as  Day / Night lenses, provide the optimum quality in the varying lighting conditions. Recorder equipped with the smart recording function is a device responsible for receiving data from the camera. Events are recorded as MPEG 4.0. or classic jpg files or as files with some individual extensions, but still compatible with popular operating systems. The common solution used for data transmission in CCTV technology is a coaxial cable (coax) or twisted wire pair UTP, known as it’s alternative.   

CCTV devices require electrical power, for the most part derived from a dedicated wiring. Power supply can be provided by the electrical wiring or by a twisted wire pair UTP / FTP, which use the free pairs, according to the PoE standard (Power over Ethernet).
