Telephone exchanges
Thanks to the modern telecommunications systems and their integrated applications, an old definition of a telephone exchange has evolved into a communication server concept. Nextnet provides devices of both types: the private branch exchanges PABX (Private Automatic Branch Exchange) and IPABX (Internet Protocol Private Automatic Branch Exchange). The devices of IPABX technology are designed to use an Internet protocol IP and to transmit sound through digital VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) technology.
Currently, some telephone exchanges of PABX type are often replaced by IPABX technology devices, based on VoIP communications servers. VoIP is a technology of digital audio transmission all the way through the Internet or a network, using the Internet IP addresses. Transmission of speech sounds is possible through various network technologies like Ethernet or ISDN. VoIP technology helps to reduce the exploitation costs in the whole infrastructure. It also ensures the independence from a local operator.
Thanks to the progressive integrated applications, modern system equipment and terminals of DECT, WLAN and IP type, the contemporary telephone exchanges has become the comprehensive solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises.
