Local area networks LAN
LAN is a local network used within a specified bulding complex or in a defined, small area. Local area networks are characterized by a high rate of data transfer. In order to maintain the high quality of transmission, a distance between all the system units shouldn’t exceed a 1000 meters.
Architecturally, LAN is based on a copper wiring or fibre optic system. In a case of some technical difficulties with the implementation of wires, it is possible to use the local wireless networks instead of cables.
